RIFT VALLEY Region

Lake Naivasha offers a unique blend of wildlife, adventure, and relaxation. Unlike many of Kenya's lakes, its freshwater ecosystem supports a rich variety of fish, bird and mammals. Visitors can enjoy boat rides among pods of hippos while observing fish eagles, pelicans, kingfishers and cormorants. The surrounding area is home to Crescent Island Game Sanctuary, where visitors can walk among free-roaming giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas and gazelles without predators. Nearby Hell's Gate National Park provides opportunities for cycling, hiking, rock climbing and exploring dramatic gorges and geothermal features.
