Mount Kenya National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in central Kenya, protecting the slopes and peaks of Mount Kenya, Africa's second-highest mountain (5,199 m). Established in 1949, the park covers approximately 715 km² and is one of Kenya's most important water catchment areas.
