About This Tour
The park surrounds the shallow alkaline waters of Lake Nakuru, a famous soda lake that has long attracted thousands of flamingos and hundreds of other bird species. Although flamingo numbers fluctuate depending on water levels and food availability, the park remains one of Africa's finest birdwatching destinations. Lake Nakuru National Park is also one of Kenya's most successful rhino sanctuaries, protecting both endangered black and white rhinos within a fenced conservation area. Besides rhinos, visitors commonly encounter lions, leopards, Rothschild's giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, waterbucks, impalas, baboons, and many other mammals. Its combination of wetlands, acacia woodlands, grasslands, rocky escarpments and waterfalls makes it exceptionally diverse despite its relatively compact size.

Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park
Depart Nairobi in the morning and enjoy a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley with a stop at the viewpoint. Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park in time for a game drive, where you'll search for rhinos, lions, Rothschild's giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and the park's famous birdlife. Check in at your lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive visiting attractions such as Baboon Cliff and Makalia Falls. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Nairobi
Begin the day with an early morning game drive, the best time to spot wildlife and enjoy the park's beautiful sunrise. Return to the lodge for breakfast before checking out. Enjoy a final game drive as you exit the park, then depart for Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon with unforgettable safari memories.
